Here’s a short film of a sketch we performed live at one of our summer hotpot shows a few years ago, written by Anthony Morgan.

“The Pimp in the Hat” is a spoof of Dr Seuss’ “Cat in the Hat”, but aimed at a more adult audience, as our protagonist gets a visit from a strange man in a red hat on an evening when his wife is away!

Filmed in HD, you can watch it here, or click through to YouTube. Enjoy!

Welcome to the all-new Chorlton Players website, powered now by WordPress.

We decided to drop our previous CMS, Joomla, after eight years of service, because of the increasing compatibility, advanced applications and smaller web footprint WordPress offers.

The Chorlton Players are a non-profit making theatre group based in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, in the UK.

St Werburghs Church Hall
Established in 1963, we put on five shows a year at the Church Hall on St Werburgh’s Road, Chorlton.  We meet every Monday and Wednesday for rehearsals in the downstairs function room of the SPREAD EAGLE, on Wilbraham Road, Chorlton between 8pm and 11pm, and we’d be glad to see anyone who fancies becoming a new member. We usually stop for a break around 9.30pm, where we can have a pint, a chat, and a chill.

Please be aware that we always take a week or so off after a production before re-convening, so sometimes we won’t be there.. check the main page for when our productions are taking place.
