ALBION

“In the ruins of a garden in rural England, in a house which was once a home, one woman searches for seeds of hope.”

Successful businesswoman Audrey Walters has returned to the house she remembered from her childhood, determined to recapture some of the village’s, and England’s, former beauty, in the midst of personal and horticultural chaos.

Her family and friends offer, in equal measure, helpful advice, as well as unwelcome suggestions. How the brittle Audrey will cope with all this, two years after her son’s death in Afghanistan, is anyone’s guess, but it’ll be messy.

St Werburghs Church Hall
The Chorlton Players are a non-profit-making theatre group established in 1963. Our group has about forty members, of varying ages, and we produce five productions per season at the Parish Hall on St Werburgh’s Road, Chorlton.

We normally meet every Monday and Wednesday evening for rehearsals and are always happy to see new members.

Even if you don’t fancy acting, we are always in need of all the other talents it takes to put productions on: backstage, costumes, front of house, set-building, audio-visuals, make-up, advertising etc. So if you are interested in taking any part in our shows, please get in touch.
